In order to provide asleep dentistry in our clinic, we are fortunate to work with a very experienced team of physicians. The team at Surgiservices are trained anesthesia providers who specialize in Out-of-Hospital-Premises (OHP) and Independent Health Facility (IHF) anesthesia. Dr. Deborah Aber

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Deborah Aber graduated with a BA Honours from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She received her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry in New York.

During dental school, Dr. Aber found her passion for working with children. Dr. Aber made it her goal to foster healthy smiles for children as her life’s work. She completed a general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York followed by her pediatric dental residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York.

Dr. Aber is a fellow in Pediatric Dentistry of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Aber worked for Manhattan Pediatric Dental group before following her husband to Toronto in 2003. She worked in the same practice for 18 years before opening Little Pearls Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Aber enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, reading, swimming and spinning in her free time. Dr. Aber is fluent in English and French.

Dr. Vandna Sharma

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Vandna Sharma was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She did her undergraduate training and obtained her dental degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2005. In 2006, she then completed a general practice residency in pediatric dentistry at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.

After this, she practiced general dentistry in Vancouver for two years of which she spent part of her time as a consultant at BC Children’s Hospital. Her experiences working with children both as a general practice resident as well as a consultant bolstered her passion for caring for children and led her to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto from 2008-2011. During her residency she completed a Masters of Science in the Faculty of Dentistry with thesis work studying Complications arising from General Anesthesia for Persons with Disabilities Undergoing Dental Treatment. Since graduating from Pediatric Dentistry in 2011, Dr. Sharma has practiced Pediatric Dentistry in several offices in the GTA and the Niagara region.

In her spare time, Dr. Sharma enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, exercising, travelling and knitting. Dr. Sharma is fluent in English, French, and Hindi.

Dr. Madelaine Jong

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Madelaine Jong was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto.

Following dental school, she pursued a pediatric-focused general practice residency at The Hospital for Sick Children, where her experiences there solidified her decision to pursue pediatric dentistry. She went on to practice in pediatric dental offices in Toronto for one year before moving to New York City to complete her pediatric dental residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital.

She is happy to be back home in Canada. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys staying active through hiking, spending time with her family and friends, and learning new skills!

Diane

Office Manager

Diane grew up in the Toronto area. She worked in the wellness field for 10 years as an Office Manager/Office administrator. In 2017, she decided it was time to pursue her dream career in the dental field. Diane went on the graduate from Medix College in January of 2018 as a Level II Dental Assistant. While doing her externship at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, Diane found her passion working in the Pediatric clinic and knew at that moment that is where she wanted to focus her career. She has a passion for children, and she will strive to provide children and their families with a positive experience at Little Pearls. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with her two daughters and husband. Diane is fluent in English and Portuguese.

Alyssa

Receptionist

Alyssa was born and raised in Toronto. Alyssa has always been passionate about oral health and customer service. As a receptionist, she enjoys interacting with people and is very detail oriented. Alyssa loves children and found a passion working in a pediatric office. She loves to see the smiles of a child and making sure they get the exact care they need. In her spare time, she loves travelling, spending time with family and friends as well as being with her furry friend Max. Alyssa is fluent in English and Portuguese.

Tavania

Dental Receptionist

Tavania was born and raised in Toronto. She has always had a strong passion for the healthcare field and enjoys making meaningful connections with others. As a receptionist Tavania thrives in helping people and takes pride in her attention to detail. She has a special place in her heart working with kids, and finds great joy in helping families with any concerns or questions they have. Outside of work, Tavania loves to paint, draw, travel, spending quality time with family, friends and of course her pets.

Rosy

Dental Hygienist

Rosy has always had a deep-rooted passion for healthcare and a desire to help others, which naturally led her to pursue a career in oral health. From an early age, she knew she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives through compassionate care. In 2022, she proudly graduated from dental hygiene school, a milestone that not only affirmed her career choice but also sparked a growing interest in oral health education, particularly for children. Rosy is committed to being a lifelong learner and continuously seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. This passion has led her to pursue additional training in orthodontics, with plans for further professional development in specialized areas of dentistry in the near future.

Outside of work, Rosy leads an active and balanced lifestyle. She enjoys practicing Muay Thai, a discipline that keeps her physically and mentally strong, and she’s also a dedicated foodie who loves exploring new cuisines. Whether in the clinic or in her community, Rosy is passionate about creating healthy, confident smiles and making a positive impact wherever she goes.

Germine

Dental Hygienist and Myofunctional Therapist

Germine began her career in banking, but soon realized her true passion was in healthcare and helping people more directly. She graduated as a Dental Assistant and, the following year, as a Dental Hygienist from Durham College in Oshawa.

Eager to expand the ways she could support patients, Germine went on to become a Myofunctional Hygienist. The following year, she completed the Buteyko Breathing course, allowing her to integrate breathing therapy into her approach to oral health.

With this unique combination of training, Germine takes pride in providing care that goes beyond a healthy smile—helping patients improve their overall well-being through functional dentistry and whole-body health.

When she is not working, she enjoys travelling with her family, reading, listening to music and watching sports.

Drashti

Dental Hygienist & Myofunctional Therapist

Born and raised in India, Drashti began her journey in dentistry by completing dental school in 2018. That same year, Drashti moved to Canada, and pursued Dental Assisting and Human Resources Management in Thunder Bay and graduated in 2020. Her passion for oral health and patient care led her back to study Dental Hygiene in 2022. She proudly I graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 2024. After completing her Dental Hygiene training, she also obtained her Myofunctional Therapy certification.

Drashti has been a part our team since 2020. Being in this role that has deepened her love of working with children. She finds great joy in helping young patients feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. She is committed to giving back to the community not only as a dental care provider but also as an educator, promoting lifelong oral hygiene habits.

Outside of work, Drashti enjoys reading and traveling. Drashti is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.

Wendy

Dental Assistant

Wendy loves working with kids. Wendy is a Certified Dental Assistant, with many years of experience. She graduated college in 2008. She stays current with continuing dental education classes. She gets inspired everyday knowing that she gets to help put a smile on a child’s face. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys spending quality time with her family. Wendy is fluent in English and Spanish.

Daniela

Dental Assistant

Daniela discovered her passion of working with children while working on her early childhood education diploma, she then moved on to pursue her love of dental a year later and has now found a way to combine the two. Growing up in the Downsview neighborhood she feels very close to home. On her spare time, she enjoys being together with her family and going for a drive. Daniela is fluent in English and Spanish.

Rubiyah

Dental Assistant

Rubiyah grew up in 3 countries; Canada, Libya, and lastly Pakistan where received her dental education. She is now working toward continuing her career in dentistry in Canada. Her love for working with children grew from spending time with her nieces and nephews, and she enjoys helping create positive dental experiences for kids. Outside of dentistry, Rubiyah loves spending time outdoors, and baking everything from bread to cakes. She is fluent in both English and Urdu.

Maria

Sterilization Tech

Maria is a dedicated dental professional originally from South America. After moving to Canada, she pursued her passion for oral health by training as a Dental Assistant and later specializing as a Sterilization Technician. With a background in management and organization, Maria takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and patient safety. She loves seeing bright, healthy smiles and contributing to a positive dental care experience.
