Dr. Deborah Aber graduated with a BA Honours from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She received her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry in New York.
During dental school, Dr. Aber found her passion for working with children. Dr. Aber made it her goal to foster healthy smiles for children as her life’s work. She completed a general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York followed by her pediatric dental residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York.
Dr. Aber is a fellow in Pediatric Dentistry of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Aber worked for Manhattan Pediatric Dental group before following her husband to Toronto in 2003. She worked in the same practice for 18 years before opening Little Pearls Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Aber enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, reading, swimming and spinning in her free time. Dr. Aber is fluent in English and French.
Dr. Vandna Sharma was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She did her undergraduate training and obtained her dental degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2005. In 2006, she then completed a general practice residency in pediatric dentistry at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.
After this, she practiced general dentistry in Vancouver for two years of which she spent part of her time as a consultant at BC Children’s Hospital. Her experiences working with children both as a general practice resident as well as a consultant bolstered her passion for caring for children and led her to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto from 2008-2011. During her residency she completed a Masters of Science in the Faculty of Dentistry with thesis work studying Complications arising from General Anesthesia for Persons with Disabilities Undergoing Dental Treatment. Since graduating from Pediatric Dentistry in 2011, Dr. Sharma has practiced Pediatric Dentistry in several offices in the GTA and the Niagara region.
In her spare time, Dr. Sharma enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, exercising, travelling and knitting. Dr. Sharma is fluent in English, French, and Hindi.
In order to provide asleep dentistry in our clinic, we are fortunate to work with a very experienced team of physicians.
